Field Service Technician

Job description:
In-Gas Direct, Inc. is seeking to fill positions on our Field Technician team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to utility and electrical power customers in the field.
This role includes specialized, niche services related to on-site electrical insulating gas handling. Additional responsibilities may include performing on-site maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on electrical insulating gas handling equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their knowledge and skills in a fast-paced, technically advanced environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electro-mechanical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Maintain accurate records of service calls and repairs
- Provide technical support to customers
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding service needs
- Follow all safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Work Environment & Expectations
- Shop environment with advanced technological equipment supporting the SF₆ gas industry
- Field/on-site environment using tools and equipment to perform on-site services

Employment Requirements
- Must have a valid work permit for the applicable region
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be 25 years of age or older (due to auto insurance requirements)
- Drug testing and background checks are required
